Garden City families and business pitched in to help Family & Children's Association award over 90 college scholarships at their annual Scholarship Fund gala held on June 23 at the Westbury Manor. Thanks to the generosity of donors like Bernie Kennedy and Megan Gillen of Kennedy & Gillen; Jo-Ellen and Scott Treiber of The Treiber Group; Maggie Yoon and Dr. Richard Dina of Adelphi University; and Denise and Charles Strain, the annual awards dinner was a huge success raising over $140,000.

The Family & Children's Scholarship Fund provides need-based college scholarships to deserving, financially-challenged students who have risen above many of life's obstacles to attend college. The annual awards dinner is a chance for donors and their young scholarship recipients to get together and celebrate their success.
