The Renegades Are Continuing To Grow!

The Garden City Renegades Lacrosse Club has just completed another successful season. The Renegades players in the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades enjoyed a competitive lacrosse experience participating in the Oyster Bay Lacrosse League (OBLL) without having to forfeit other athletic opportunities. Our teams challenged themselves by playing against competitive teams such as perennial powerhouses Manhasset and Massapequa as well as select teams like the Long Island Express. By playing in a more competitive league our players are exposed to a higher level of lacrosse which enables them to quickly learn the concepts of competition, sportsmanship and team play.

The Renegades will be forming teams at every grade as we continue to receive inquiries about our teams and the OBLL. We will continue to provide the committed lacrosse player a more competitive offering. The Renegades are the "extra" program for those wishing to play more; not an exclusionary program demanding that you play less.

We are adding many exciting enhancements to our program. We have listened to our players and parents and have incorporated many of their suggestions into our plans for the future.

Renegades Players Can Expect:

* An established, competitive and rapidly growing league

* Real lacrosse with Real Rules

* competitive teams from Long Island, Westchester, CT, MA, NJ

* State of the Art facilities with many games played on Field Turf fields

* Home games played at St Paul's

* Flexible scheduling

* 12 game season plus playoffs

* 3 Certified Adult Referees per game

* Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) present on the sidelines at every practice and game

* Participation in at least 3 tournaments during Spring Season

* Clinics with Prominent Lacrosse Personalities including Current and Former Professionals, Collegiate Coaches, USA Team Members and Hall of Fame Inductees

* Participation in at least one summer tournament.

* Participation in a Winter League and Winter Clinics

* Camaraderie, Friendships and Fun!

**On this 4th of July the Renegades salute our Nation's Founding Fathers. This small group of committed individuals challenged the absolute authority of a ruler who, mired in his traditions, was unwilling to protect the rights of the people. They had the fortitude to stand behind their principles and the courage to declare their independence. They were truly Renegades.
