Garden City resident Lynn Diana receives honors from LuHi English Department Chair Mrs. Alex Zimardo. Long Island Lutheran Middle & High School recognized the achievements of its outstanding students at its Annual Honors Banquet held on June 16 at the Swan Club in Glenwood Landing. Among those honored was Garden City resident and LuHi senior Lynn Diana.

Lynn received the English Department Award. Department Awards are presented to seniors who have achieved academic excellence in different areas of curricular studies. Lynn's English Department Award honors her achievements in every area of Lutheran High English course offerings.

Lynn was also honored with a certificate for 3-year membership in the National Honor Society. Membership in the LuHi Chapter of the National Honor Society is granted to those students who have been highly rated by faculty members in the areas of character, leadership and service and who have an 85 or better cumulative average.

Furthermore, Lynn received notoriety with a Star Honor Roll certificate, presented to seniors who maintain a 90 percent or higher grade point average throughout every quarter of their high school careers.
