Police Report: Mischief and Mayhem
On June 26, police detectives Madden and Rothermel, along with store security, arrested a 37-year-old Elmont woman, also a Lord and Taylor employee, for alleged petit larceny, stemming from 5 incidents where she allegedly placed merchandise in customers' shopping bags, without having them pay for all of the items... Between June 25 and 27, a $175 unisex mountain bike was taken from a rear yard at a Wellington Rd. address...On June 28, 4 AM, PO Henessy observed an 18-year-old male drving without being able to stay in a lane at Clinton Road. He was arrested and charged with alleged DWI (.16%), tinted windows, unlicensed operation, and for the possession of a gravity knife...On June 18, someone scratched a 2-foot long section of the driver's side front and rear doors on a Dodge Ram parked at the Hilton Avenue condominiums... On June 26, a truck stop was held at Clinton Rd. with 11 trucks inspected and 11 trucks taken out of service with 34 tickets issued...
