The June 30th deadline for registering for the GCAA Summer Baseball Season is fast approaching!

The GCAA's Summer Baseball Season includes both Garden City teams and teams from neighboring towns. The season will run for five weeks starting July 14th, with two games per week per team on Monday through Thursday evenings.

The league will have four different age divisions: 8 year-olds (7 year-olds entering 3rd grade in fall 2008 are eligible to play in this division); 9/10 year-olds; 11/12 year-olds; and 13-15 year-olds. Age is calculated as of April 30, 2008, in accordance with Little League rules. As was done in our Spring Season, all teams in the 9/10 and 11/12 year-old divisions will be using wood bats, while metal bats will be permitted in the other age divisions.

The Registration fee is $75.00. Applications received after 6/30/2008 will be subject to a $25 late fee. Uniform jerseys and caps are supplied. White baseball pants must be purchased separately.

To register, download the Summer Baseball 2008 application on our web site (go to www.gc-aa.com; click on "baseball," then "summer season") and mail it with your fee payment to GCAA at PO Box 4, Garden City, New York 11530 before June 30, 2008.
