This is to announce the official formation of The Community Liaison Committee of Garden City. As a non-partisan civic organization, the primary mission of the group is to act as a liaison between village residents and various village entities. The Manhasset Community Liasion Commiittee is one example of another local town with a long-established history of effective cooperation within its community. The Community Liaison Committee (CLC) of Garden City will serve as a venue for the entire community to discuss issues facing Garden City including St. Paul's, the Hub and the Light Rail, the Third Rail, GC water concerns, issues pertaining to the GC School District, etc. Since the intent of the group is to work together with various village entities, all residents are strongly encouraged to participate, as well as representatives of the village government, school officials, local newspapers.
