Alumni their families and friends took part in a few fun-filled games on Sunday.
For the fifth year in a row, alumni, their families and friends of the Waldorf School of Garden City convened at Camp Glen Brook, the school's 250-acre extension campus located in Marlborough, New Hampshire over the Memorial Day Weekend. Activities included feeding the animals, playing games in the meadow, swimming and canoe races at the lake and singing by the bonfire. Visitors also got to enjoy the quaint shops, restaurants and galleries of nearby Keene.
Weaving Waldorf education with traditional New England camping since 1946, Camp Glen Brook is owned and operated by the Waldorf School of Garden City. Glen Brook has been a working farm since 1776. In addition to being a summer camp, the farm setting of Camp Glen Brook has helped to develop a respect and ability for physical labor for hundreds of Waldorf students - a quality that continues into adulthood for many Waldorf alumni.
