The annual brunch for the Bridge Marathon, a fundraiser on behalf of the Garden City League of Mercy Medical Center, was recently held at the home of Joan Hildreth, co-chairperson of the event along with Marygene Anderson. The ladies who participated in the marathon played bridge by competing with each other during the past year. More ... The Garden City German Club (Garden City Deutsch Verein) attended the annual Gottscheer Volksfest on Sunday, June 1 st at Plattdeutsch Park in Franklin Square. The Garden City German Club was founded several years ago and attends several of the Volksfests held annually at the park.
