The good news was the heat brought out the Xtreme offense as five different players scored leading the team to a 5-0 victory.

The Xtreme players have worked hard all spring on their finishing. Watching the match on Saturday, the results were evident. The Starz were under immediate pressure. The Xtreme continuously took the ball out of the air whenever East Meadow tried to clear the ball out, keeping East Meadow on the defensive. The Starz conceded no less than 10 corners in the first half, giving the Xtreme great scoring opportunities. It took about 12 minutes until the Xtreme scored the first goal and then the floodgates opened. Colette Seel scored the first goal, followed shortly thereafter by Katie Roscoe. Six minutes later Alison Holfester perfectly struck a penalty kick and the Xtreme were in total control at half.

There was no let down in the second half as the Xtreme were first to the ball, not letting the Starz build an offensive. With possession, the Xtreme went forward down the sides of the field. The team did a fabulous job of crossing balls into the box, creating defending problems for the Starz. Cara Adams and Isabel McKeown both had second half goals. The defense recorded it's second consecutive shut-out, a great effort by all.
