Photo by Newsphoto.com On Sunday, June 8th the girls varsity lacrosse team of Garden City will head to Stony Brook to defend its Long Island Class B title. On their way to the title, the girls easily beat Wantagh 23-8 on Wednesday afternoon June 4th at Hofstra to claim the Nassau County Class B championship. This was the team's 4th consecutive county championship. Leading the scoring for the Trojans was Caroline McTiernan with six goals. Garden City also received gaosl from: Erin Brennan (5), Becky Lynch (4), Shannon Mangini (3), Brittany Wilton (2), Lauren Terracciano (1) and Dayna Defliese (1).

Next up will be the Long Island Championship game against Rocky Point on Sunday afternoon June 8th at Stony Brook at 1pm.
