GCHS Athlete Make USA Hockey Camp
JP Burnside, Garden City High School freshman, has been selected to advance to the USA Hockey National Player Development Camp representing the New York District for U-15 hockey players from August 2-8 in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Each summer USA Hockey conducts select player camps for athletes throughout the country. The athletes are chosen from a series of try-outs within their USA Hockey District. During the camp, players are evaluated by the National scouting program, college & junior recruiters and professional scouts.

He finished his Bantam Major season with the Long Island Royals in March and will start his Midget Major season with the Long Island Gulls playing U-16 in the fall.
