Boys Lacrosse Win Against Plainedge

The Nassau County boys lacrosse Class B semi final game was played on Friday evening May 30th at Hofstra University's Shuart Stadium between the Garden City Trojans and the Plainedge Red Devils.
No. 7 Plainedge, coming off an upset over No. 2 Lynbrook, was making it's first appearance in the semi finals but Garden City easily controlled the game and came away with an 8-3 victory. Garden City scored four third quarter goals including two by Brendan Carroll, off assists from Jon Muscarella. Muscarella also scored on a pass from Dan Savage. Will Fuller added another goal for the Trojans in the third quarter giving the Trojans a 7-1 lead. Tom Gordon contributed with a goal in the fourth. Scoring for the Trojans included: Jon Muscarella (3), Will Fuller, (2), Brendan Carroll (2), and Tom Gordon (1). Getting assists for GC were: Jon Muscarella (2), Tom Gordon(2), Francis McDonough (1), and Dan Savage (1). Goalie Brian McCullough made six saves, Chris Connors made two saves.

The Trojans faced No. 1 seeded South Side on Wednesday evening June 4th at Hofstra for the Nassau Class B title but that game occurred too late for this edition. You can see photos from these games, and many others at www.Newsphoto.com
