Some of Troop 55 in Space Museum Over this past spring break, Garden City's Troop 55 visited Washington D.C. The following Boy Scouts camped at a local campground outside the city limits and toured our nation's capital: Jack A., Mike C., Ryan C., Joey E., Brendan F., Ryan G., Jack K., Scott L., Zach L., Dan M., Alfred R., and Casey T.

The Scouts visited many monuments and museums including the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials, Washington Monument, Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, Indian Art Museum and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing to name just a few! One of the many trip highlights was a tour of the White House and the Capitol Building. Some Scouts even attended the United States Supreme Court and witnessed a case being orally argued before all nine Justices of the high court. The troop braved the some heavy rains that week which put their camping skills to the test but were of course were prepared for the challenge. Troop 55 loved this trip, which was educational and also ton of fun and can't wait to visit DC again!
