Michael J. Tenaglia Golf and Tennis Classic

The Miracle Foundation will host its ninth annual Michael J. Tenaglia Golf and Tennis Classic at the Cherry Valley Club and the Garden City Country Club in Garden City on Monday, June 9th. The Miracle Foundation has granted over two million dollars to help improve the lives of people diagnosed with cancer and to find a cure for the disease. Since its inception, the Foundation's golf and tennis classic has been the cornerstone of its fundraising efforts.

The all-day event includes golf and tennis tournaments, a cocktail and dinner reception, an extensive silent auction and fabulous raffle prizes. In addition, there will be a Reverse Raffle boasting a grand prize trip for four golfers to Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run, including airfare and accommodations at the luxurious Destination Kohler, in Kohler, Wisconsin. Reverse Raffle Sponsors include The Stapleford Family and The Coleman Family. Only 100 tickets to be sold and the winner need not be present.

This year, The Miracle Foundation will present two awards. The Michael J. Tenaglia Philanthropic Award will be presented to Thomas F. Eggers for his steadfast support of the Foundation since its inception. Mr. Eggers recently retired as Chief Executive Officer and President of The Dreyfus Corporation. The

Michael J. Tenaglia Leadership Award will be presented to Peter and Bobby Menges. Peter and his son Bobby are the Founders of Back In The Game, an innovative physical therapy and strength training program for pediatric cancer patients.
