Photo by Newsphoto.com The best-of-three Nassau Class A baseball quarterfinal games between Garden City and Seaford were played on May 19th, 21st and 22nd. Seaford had a 1-0 series lead after their 8-7 win on the 19th. Garden City tied the series up at home on May 21st behind the pitching of Mike Mancusi who gave up two runs on seven hits and struck out five to get the victory for the Trojans. During that game Andrew Cauchi delivered a pinch-hit single to drive in Kevin Derle in the fifth to give Garden City a 3-0 lead. The Trojans went on to win 3-2.

With the series tied at 1-1 Garden City traveled back to Seaford on May 22nd but lost the game 8-1 which ended the Trojans season.

This season's roster included Kyle Boelsen, Andrew Cauchi, Paul Chilelli, Anthony Cordio, Jon DeMars, Terry Curtin, Kevin Derle, Bob Fargnoli, Oliver Gullo, Jeff Kimball, Chris LeMonda, Mike Mancusi, Don McKennett, Mike Regan, Denis Rice, Colin Ridgway, Fred Stutzmann, Pat Sylvester, Matt Thaler, Joe Tursi, and Will Volz. Rich Smith and Charlie Menges coached the team with volunteers Mike Sweeney and Mark Buthorn.
