The vote by the Town of Hempstead Industrial Development Agency on whether or not to offer financial assistance to a developer interested in acquiring the Garden City Hotel was postponed at their May 28th meeting. John T. Hofmann, passed away on April 28, 2008. John, a 50 year resident of Garden City, was actively involved with golf at the Garden City Country Club for many years. John served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He retired from Exxon Corp after a 30 year career. More...
