Cathedral's 55 th Annual Memorial Day Fair

2008-05-30 / Community

Monday, May 26, Memorial Day was beautiful and perfect for a fair and craft fest. The grounds of The Cathedral of the Incarnation were covered with adults and children enjoying the rides, games, food, baked goods and craft vendors. The patriotic concerts in the historic church were very well attended. The tours of the Cathedral were taken by many interested people. It was the continuation of a long standing village tradition and thanks to the hard work of many members of the Cathedral's congregation, the fair occurred for the 55th year. The Cathedral's carillon has been repaired and rang out over the fairgrounds to add to the festivities and to remind everyone that the spire restorations and repairs are almost completed and the scaffolding that surrounds it will soon be history. Look up and when you spot that beautiful golden cross you will know that the spire will tower over our village for years and years to come!

Pony rides were a major attraction of the day.
