U12 Lions Sportsmanship

The U-12 girl's Lions soccer team after a tough start have put together an impressive number of wins and well played games. The Lions are presently in fourth place just 4 points out of first and made it into the semi finals of the Waldbaum's Cup. The girl's have had a nice balance of defense and offense while most importantly playing together as a team. After winning the Gold Award for sportsmanship in the fall season the girl's have continued their hard work while always displaying good sportsmanship and fair play.

The Lion's defense has been anchored by the fine goalie play of Grace Parks and the solid play of Emily Cafaro, Kelly Tierney, Gina Timpano, Sarah Rubino and Madeline McGuire. The midfield has been controlled by Jackie Marino, Meaghan Kiely, Grace Murolo, Erin Pfail and Sara Ruhl. Offensively the Lions have had great success with Kaitlin Shea, Daniella Joyce, Rebecca Reifler, Ally Sweeney and Sofia Trikas.

All the girl's have set a fine example of team spirit this year filling in at different positions when needed without complaint. Good luck to all the girl's and continued success this season.
