The Garden City School District's $94,505,801 budget was approved in voting Tuesday by a 1,057 to 786 margin. The new budget will have a 4.49% increase. The average homeowner will pay a 4.55% increase in school taxes.

Angela Heineman was elected to the Board of Education in an unopposed race.
