School Budget Approved

The Garden City School District's $94,505,801 budget was approved in voting Tuesday by a 1,057 to 786 margin. The new budget will have a 4.49% increase. The average homeowner will pay a 4.55% increase in school taxes. Angela Heineman was elected to the Board of Education in an unopposed race. More...

Robert E. Wright Jr, 82 of Garden City, peacefully on May 8, 2008. Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1925. The oldest of four brothers, Donald (2002), Richard, and Gary. Grew up in Rome, NY. After high school graduation in 1943 joined the Army Air Corps and trained as a pilot. Discharged in 1946. More...
