GC Warriors celebrating their big win
GC Warriors celebrating their big win On Saturday, May 10, the GC Warriors faced the Woodhaven Warriors, who had an undefeated spring record to date. The GC team knew they had to step up their game to meet the challenge. They turned up the energy, working together to move the ball up field with on-point passing and winning most of the 50/50 balls. James Walsh scored the first goal for GC on a direct kick, and Matt Flynn scored the second goal by heading a pass into the net. GC's defense continually thwarted Woodhaven's effort to get near their goal. GC goalie Gerard Smith had some spectacular saves to keep the opponents from posting any goals on the scoreboard. It was a great Mother's Day present! The boys also wish a speedy recovery to injured teammate, Kyle Bratton. Keep up the great work Warriors!
