Teachers Mrs. Kaden, Mrs. DeSena, Miss Beardsly, Principal Dr. Kilbride, teacher Mrs. Conte and Assistant Principal Mrs. Murphy all came to watch the girls and their "escorts". The nail salons in town were hopping and the dads were making the last minute runs to the florists as St. Joseph's School PTA presented their annual Father Daughter Dance. The theme, selected by chairs Helen Achury and Raquel Mandaro, was The Secret Garden and the couples arrived to find the gym transformed into a garden-like fairyland! A professional photographer offered a keepsake of the evening, while the girls, from ages 3 to 14, picked up their dance cards and partied the night away. At dusk, the lights went down and the canopy of pink tulle and white lights made its appearance. A special dance for the graduating eighth grade girls and their dads was the perfect end to the evening. Special thanks to Helen and Raquel and their hardworking committee.
