      Douglas A. Palmer Sr. Douglas A. Palmer Sr. passed away peacefully on May 1, 2008 at Blakehurst Nursing Home in Towson, Maryland at the age of 73 after a courageous two-year battle with brain cancer. He was surrounded by his wife, Arline and his three sons Douglas Jr., Scott and Craig.

Barbara (Baylis) Peguillan
      Barbara (Baylis) Peguillan, a former resident of Garden City who was born and raised in Floral Park, died recently. She was a descendant of Ephraim Bailey, who built one of the first houses in Floral Park. The Bailey name was changed to Baylis in the early 1800s.
