Both current and new members were treated to a lavish table of edible treats provided by diSalvo Interiors, as they listened to exciting plans for the upcoming year. Volunteers are needed to participate in their Pediatric Project. This involves planning an event that brings some sunshine into the days of Winthrop-University Hospital's youngest patients. Anyone wishing to get involved with the Pediatric Project can contact Liz Menges at lizmenges@earthlink,net. Volunteers can also choose to participate in the planning of the 34th annual Golden Goose event to be held this year on Friday, November 21st and Saturday, November 22nd.

Twigs is an organization dedicated to serving Winthrop University Hospital through notable fund-raising events. Currently all funds raised by Twigs support the hospital's campaign to renovate the post-partum unit and the newborn nursery unit. For more information on Twigs' fundraising activities or to become a Twigs member, contact Twigs President Jennifer Miller at 747-5546 or visit www.winthrop.org/resources/volunteer/twigs. cfm.
