Kyle Thorton makes nice clearing play On Sunday May 4th the Garden City Rams 4th grade Dillmeier team took on a tournament experienced Long Beach Team. The GC boys were more that up to the task as they quickly jumped out to a lead. In the first minute of the game jack Capatola pushed the ball up filed and made a perfect pass to Peter McCarthey who fired the ball right past the goalie. Other fine goals by Steve Moran, Jack Capatola (2) and Brendan Dolan along with stellar defense and a almost perfect clearing percentage enabled the GC rams to take home a 6-2 victory. Every time Long Beach tried to make a comeback Sam Luchessi (nickname Won Ton) made spectacular saves and perfect clearing passes to keep GC in control of the game.
