SJS Visits Planting Fields
      The Pre-K classes from St. Joseph's School took their Spring Trip to the Planting Fields last week. The weather cooperated as the children toured the grounds and took in the local scenery. GCHS Students Compete In Language Competition
      Students in Christina Failla, Ed.D. and Marie Nuzzi's Spanish 3, 4 and 5 classes participated in a Spanish Poetry Recital Competition at Hofstra University on Wednesday, April 30. Kevin Gerspach won 2nd Place in the Level 4 Competition, and the other students received congratulatory certificates for their participation.

Waldorf Students Win Awards At Annual Sprachfest
      Garden City, NY Tuesday, April 15, 2008 - On Saturday, March 15, over 450 students studying German in grades 7 through 12 from 16 schools throughout Long Island attended the 18th annual "Sprachfest" language festival, sponsored by the Long Island chapter of the American Association of Teachers of German at the Garden City High School.
