Judy Benke shed new light on a long-time chain email message about relationships. People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. As the guest speaker at the annual women's communion breakfast at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection recently, Judy asked all the women to think about the important people in their lives and which of the three categories they fit into.
The women received communion and then were served a delicious breakfast by some gentlemen members of the church family. Judy is married to Rev. Dr. David Benke, a Lutheran pastor and the current president of the Atlantic District of the Lutheran Church. There were 100 women in attendance raising over $1,100 in donation for the national mission organization, Orphan Grain Train.
Resurrection is a multi-site Christian community of faith. All are invited to worship at 5:30 PM on Saturdays and at 8:30 and 11 AM Sunday mornings, with Christian Education at 9:45 AM at the 420 Stewart Avenue location in Garden City.
