John Mackey and Tim Schmelzinger In U-10 league action on Saturday, April 26th, the Garden City Raiders defeated a very strong team from Franklin Square, 5 to 0. The game, which was much tighter than the final score indicated, was the result of a balanced attack in which each Raider made significant contributions, whether on offense, defense, midfield play or in goal. The Raiders hope to continue their successful run this weekend, during which the boys will play a very highly regarded squad from New Hyde Park on both Saturday (league play) and Sunday (quarterfinals of the Waldbaums Cup tournament).
