PTA Fundraiser Dinner A Success
High School Senior girls volunteer
The PTA Fundraising Dinner was a tremendous success, as well as a fun time for all those who attended. The Inn at New Hyde Park created the perfect setting.
Cynthia George, co-chair of the dinner, said the women on the dinner committee did an exceptional job, from their first meeting in the fall until the evening of the dinner. They spent hours soliciting, promoting and organizing the event. She also thanked the teachers and administrators for assisting in the promotion of the annual PTA dinner.
The committee would like to especially thank a few generous donors who made the night and raffle buying more exciting: the Powers family - $500 American Express gift certificate, the Caluoci family - Broadway.com gift certificate and dinner in New York City, Varano Dental Excellence, the Adams family - Red Door treatments, the Keenan family - $200 gift certificate to Tiffany & Co., Dr. Denise Emma - two tickets to see Billy Joel at Shea Stadium, the Costello & Muldoon families for the Wii game system, Dr. Susan Tierney for an IPod Touch, the Garden City Country Club, Cherry Valley Club, The Island - Lily Pulitzer Signature Store, Ande Girraputo & Broadway Bound.

Memorable moments from the evening were a slide show featuring all seven schools, Dr. Frank Banta and Ken Monaghan receiving lifetime honorary memberships to the PTA and an introduction to the new incoming Executive PTA Board 2008-2009.
