Mineola Lion President Rick Volpe was recently honored for his community service by the Mineola Garden City Rotary Club. Through Rick's leadership the Edward Smith Mineola Lions has donated tens of thousands of dollars to worthy causes in the community, including a diabetes prevention center at Winthrop Hospital and the Lions Blind Fund. Rick is also the Vice President of Van Buren Truck Sales in Garden City Park, which has been very supportive of community organizations and events for many years.
