On Thursday, April 17th, the Helen Keller Services for the Blind Garden City League held its Spring fundraiser at the Garden City Community Church. Billed as a dessert, card and games party, it attracted more than 90 ladies from Garden City and the proceeds raised went to support Camp Helen Keller. This camp is a free summer day camp for children, ages 4-15, who are blind or visually impaired and is open to children from Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The event was organized by Ann Wassmer, past president, Joy Losgar and Irma Annunziato, current co-presidents, and Aurora Vinciguerra. The following photos tell the rest of the story.
