Mineola-Garden City Rotary To Host Prospective Members
Prospective members of the Mineola-Garden City Rotary Club listen to information about Rotary Service projects at last year's membership party at the Cherry Valley Club.
On Wednesday evening May 7 the Mineola-Garden City Rotary Club will host its annual "Welcome New Members" cocktail party at 6 p.m., at the Cherry Valley Club, Rockaway Avenue, Garden City Officers, directors and club members will welcome prospective members who have expressed an interest in becoming a Rotarian. Rotary's purpose is service to others through efforts to improve the community and to promote high ethical standards in business and professional life. Among the many service projects and programs undertaken by the Mineola-Garden City Rotary Club are Rotacare, which provides immeasurable and free medical services to those who could not otherwise afford it; and the Gift of Life program which provides life-saving cardiac surgery for children from all parts of the world. The Club meets every Monday at 12:15 throughout the year except for holidays) at the Garden City Hotel.
