The U-10 Raiders The U-10 Raiders continued their winning ways this past weekend with a 1-0 triumph over a very talented squad from Rockville Centre. The win, which came in the second round of the Waldbaums Cup tournament, was the result of a true team effort in which every player made significant contributions. James DeSousa scored the only goal in the hard fought match. Solid defensive efforts were made by Danny Confort, Scott Kiley, and Dylan Lauderoute, and the offense was paced by Jack Fenty, Brian Haeffner and Matt Lisoski. Midfield play was controlled by Matty Chmil and Timmy Schmelzinger, and John Mackey and Jack Bingham combined for the (much needed) shutout in goal. The Raiders now shift their focus to April 26th and a very strong team from Franklin Square, which promises to pose another memorable challenge for our boys.
