Brogan Mahon stepping up to get to the ball before Bayport The GC Warriors defeated the Bayport Strikers 4-1 on March 12th to advance to the third round of the Waldbaum's cup. The boys continued their stellar play from previous weeks, working as a team to move the ball around the field with on point passing. Alex Franco scored to give GC an early lead in the game, Bobby Clarke finished a one-touch passing play from Jonathan Morris to Kyle Bratton with a left-footed blast into goal, and Kyle delivered two goals- including one from 20 yards out. Solid defense by GC, including some stellar saves by goalie Gerard Smith, kept the Strikers from additional scoring. Good luck in the next round Warriors!
