The Western Property Owners Association (WPOA) is once again proud to be participating in the high school scholarship program this spring. The WPOA established its scholarship six years ago, granting its first scholarship in 2002. Over the years, it has been a privilege to assist deserving students who've combined academic efforts with volunteer community service while in high school, as they continue their education. Garden City High School seniors who reside in the Western Section are encouraged to stop by the High School Guidance Office to inquire about the 2008 WPOA scholarship.

The Western Section of Garden City is bordered on the north by the main line of the LIRR, on the east by the west side of Tanners Pond and Edgemere Roads, on the south by Cambridge Avenue and on the west by Jefferson Street.
