Foundation Kenyan children received food packs at Easter Fr. Gabriel Muteru, Honorary Chairman, and the Board of Trustees of the St. John's Kenyan Children's Foundation cordially invite everyone to attend our main fundraiser, a Wine Tasting Reception, to be held tomorrow Saturday, April 19, 2008, from 8pm to 11pm, at Kellenberg Memorial High School Cafeteria. The cost to attend is $25 per person. A wide variety of fine wines will be served for all to taste, and they will also be offered for sale. There will be a Chinese Auction and a Silent Auction with great prizes. The Chinese Auction includes 24 beautiful baskets with great gifts and gift certificates to many local businesses such as The Red Door Spa, The Garden City Hotel, Loaves & Fishes, NY Center for Facial, Plastic & Laser Surgery, Key Food, and local eateries such Grimaldi's, Waterzooi, Novita, La Bottega, Walk Street, and the Greek Corner. The Silent Auction includes prime seats to major sports events such as Yankees, Mets, and Islander games, Tickets for The View, a Tour of the CW 11 TV News Room, A chance to be the Weatherman at the CW 11 TV News Broadcast, signed Sports Memorabilia, and fine art paintings from Sunflower Galleries. The highlight of the evening, a Live Auction, includes a typical Kenyan dinner, served in the comfort of your own home, by Chef Fr. Gabriel Muteru, with piano music entertainment by Fr Andiy Egargo.

We invite everyone to join us tomorrow Saturday, April 19, to share a great evening of fun among friends, tasting fine wines and having the chance to win great prizes, while helping a needy Kenyan child. This is a wonderful opportunity to show your support to the foundation, whose mission is to provide an education and to promote the welfare of orphan Kenyan children. Honoring its mission, the foundation is presently funding the education, healthcare and basic needs for 50 orphan children.
