Cathedral Construction Update

2008-04-18 / Community

Every warmer day brings the completion of the spire repair of the Cathedral of the Incarnation just that much nearer. Workers are on the scaffolding regularly again, and, if you are attentive, you will notice that the number of wooden crates and stacked stones are diminishing from the north fenced-in traffic circle. It is exciting to watch the wooden crates rise in the air, so carefully handled, in the knowledge that one more piece of that gigantic "puzzle" is going back where it belongs. In the not too distant future, this phase of the work will be completed and the scaffolding will be down on all sides of the Cathedral and this stately centerpiece of our village will be well on her way to being restored to her former splendor.
