Sensational Perennials And Awesome Annuals
Jerie Newman carefully selects some hanging baskets to be sold at the plant sale.
The Cathedral Choirs welcome you into spring with its 15th Annual Plant Sale. There are over 60 varieties of perennial plants, all grown organically in gallon-size pots, available. There are a number of new offerings such as hollyhock, four new varieties of daylilies, new varieties of astilbe, cranebill geraniums, and Echinacea plus much more. There are also the popular "oldies" such as varieties of lavender, dianthus, and toadlily. There are perennials for full-sun, part-shade and shade.
The usual flats of 48 and half flats of 24 impatiens, petunias, marigold, snap-dragons and other flowering plants are also available.
If you are a "container" gardener, annuals including dracina, vinca vine and bacopa are for sale.
Prices are the same as last year even though prices have gone up due to higher oil prices for growers. Perennials are $9.50 a container or 2 containers of any variety for $18. A flat of annuals is $13 or a 1/2 flat is $7. For the container gardens (or your own flower beds) the 4 1/2 inch containers are $3.50 each or $49 for a flat of 15 pots.
