Sarah V. Langan Sarah V. Langan, a 1992 graduate of Garden City High School, will read excerpts from her debut novel The Keeper at the April 9 th meeting of The Community Club of Garden City and Hempstead at 1:30 p.m. in The Garden City Casino, it was announced this week by Prem Chauhan, Chairperson of the Drama/Literature Department.

The Keeper is set in Maine, where Ms. Langan attended college. She began work on the novel while a master's student at Columbia University's MFA fiction writing program. Currently, in addition to working on her third book, she is also a master's candidate in toxicology at New York University's School of Environmental Medicine. Her studies give her work a science-based background.

Upon its publication, The Keeper was hailed as "a sublime voice in the supernatural suspense genre."
