Student Essay Read
NSDAR members gather to hear the winning American History essay left: Wendy Fendt, Peg Tillotson, Joan Murphy, Sharon Wolfe, Mary Poole, Arlene Kister and Joan Rodriguez.
The Colonel Aaron Ogden Chapter of the National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, met on March 4 th at the Garden City Library to hear the reading of a winning student essay in this year's annual American History Essay contest. Chapter Regent Janet Chapin Littlejohn chaired the meeting.
The essay was read by chapter member Isabelle Smith, who serves the NSDAR as New York State's Flag of the United States chairperson. Refreshments were served following the meeting.
Are you eligible to be a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution? Members of NSDAR are descendents of American Revolutionary War soldiers and patriots who rendered material aid to the War for Independence.
