Kathryn Hart
Theodora H. Du, died March 6, 2008, in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. She and her husband of 62 years, Darfoon Du, were Garden city residents for 41 years. Dora was born in shanghai, china to the late Dr. Konrad Chang Hsu, former professor at Columbia University, and the late Katharine Deane Hawley Hsu, residents of Tappan New York. She was the sister of Victoria Ruffner, of Ocean City, New Jersey, and the late Alicia Katharine Wohl. She is also survived by two children, Kathryn Hart, 1966 GCHS graduate, and Stephen Mark Du, 1975 GCHs graduate, and five grand children.
Mrs. Du was the organist and choir director of Saint Margret of Scotland Episcopal Church, formerly in Fresh Meadows, New York, for over 40 years. She grew up in Taunton, Massachusetts, and moved to Staten Island, NY, in 1941. She attended Barnard College, where her father was on the faculty of Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Funeral services were held on March 10, 2008, at the Church of the Advent, 401 Union Street, Kennett Square. Burial was in the adjacent Union Hill Cemetery.
