Special Effects

Wednesday,

April 9th at 7:00

Kaboom! Traces the history of visual effects in movies from early efforts in the late 1800's to today's computer enhanced creations. Special attention will be paid to movies of the last 30 years, all illustrated with movie clips. Mr. Clive Young, author, film reviewer, and expert on "fan film" culture will share with the audience the various ways that filmmakers over the past century have used technology and illusion to make the impossible seem real. You'll never watch a Hollywood blockbuster the same way again! Registration is not needed for this exciting program.
