Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice, left, with her nephew Will, a fifth-grader at Stratford Avenue School, and Will's teacher Leigh Dowden, visited Stratford School in February to speak with students about her job and the responsibilities of the district attorney's office. The presen-tation included a vigorous question and answer period during which students learned about local government, current cases they had recently researched, and the dangers of drinking and driving. Earlier in the school year, Ms. Rice visited Garden City Middle School and High School.
