"Bye, Bye Birdie!" To Be Presented This Weekend at Garden City High School
The teens of Sweet Apple, Ohio, react to the pending arrival of rock star Conrad Birdie.
The Garden City High School Masquers are thrilled to invite you to the High School's spring musical performance, "Bye Bye Birdie!," a light hearted musical comedy written by Charles Strouse and Lee Adams with a book by Michael Stewart. One of the most captivating shows in musical theatre history, "Bye Bye Birdie!" is a satire that tells the story of rock and roll singer Conrad Birdie, who is about to be inducted into the army. But before he goes, Conrad will bid goodbye to a typical American teen---Kim Macaffee of Sweet Apple, Ohio--with an all-American kiss. When news of the kiss breaks, the phones of Sweet Apple light up with chatting teens--and that's only the beginning.
The curtain rises in the Inez Norman Spiers Auditorium at Garden City High School on Friday, March 14, and Saturday, March 15, at 8 p.m. Tickets Tickets ($12 for adults and $10 for students, children, and senior citizens) can be purchased at the door. For questions or group sales inquiries, please call (516) 478-2531.
