Dr. and Mrs. J Duffy Mocco
Dr. and Mrs. J Duffy Mocco Deborah and Donald Ward of Garden City are delighted to announce the marriage of their daughter, Wendy Elizabeth, to J Duffy Mocco. Dr. and Mrs. Mocco were married at The Church of the Incarnation in New York, New York on September 2, 2007. Rev. J. Douglas Ousley officiated.

A reception followed at the Prince George Ballroom in New York, New York.

Mrs. Mocco is a 1993 graduate of Garden City High School. She earned a bachelor's degree in History at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1997, and received her juris doctorate from Fordham University School of Law in 2000. Since her graduation from law school, Mrs. Mocco has been employed by Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP in New York, New York as an associate in the firm's Commercial Real Estate Department. The mother and father of the bride are both graduates of Garden City High School, classes of 1968 and 1965, respectively. The bride's sister and maid of honor, Kelly Anne Ward, is a 1996 graduate of Garden City High School and currently resides in Los Angeles, California.

Dr. Mocco is the son of Mrs. Ruth Brellenthin of Spring Hill, Florida and Mr. Joseph Mocco Jr. of North Bergen, New Jersey. Dr. Mocco graduated from the International Baccalaureate Program at St. Petersburg High School in St. Petersberg, Florida in 1992. Thereafter, he earned his bachelor's degree in Biology at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida in 1995 and his medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, New York in 2000. In 2007, Dr. Mocco completed his residency training in Neurosurgery at the Neurological Institute, Columbia University Medical Center and New York-Presbyterian Hospital and earned his master's degree in public health at The Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University.

Dr. and Mrs. Mocco are currently residing in Buffalo, New York where Dr. Mocco is pursuing a fellowship in Endovascular Neurosurgery at the Toshiba Stroke Research Center and Millard Fillmore Gates Hospital. Following completion of Dr. Mocco's fellowship in 2008, the couple plans to relocate to Gainesville, Florida where Dr. Mocco has accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery at the University of Florida, Shands Hospital. The couple is happily expecting their first child this summer.
