Ever wonder what the difference is between a folk tale, fairy tale, legend, and tall tale? Come to the library, have an adventure, and find out!

Read To A Dog

The program "Read To A Dog" with Bide-A-Wee volunteers will be held on Saturday, March 1st at 2:00 PM for children in Grades 1-5. Registration is required. The dogs love to have stories read to them. The children will select a book with the help of the librarians, and read the story to the dogs! The program will begin at 2:00 PM with allotted time slots. Children must be present 15 minutes before their starting time. Space is limited to 20 children with a short waiting list of 5 names. If you need to cancel, please call the Children's Room so another child may participate.

Bide-A-Wee have asked that all children who sign up, contribute from a wish list which will be available on the day of registration. Donations can be made in the form of food, toys, or blankets, and any patron is welcome to contribute. This program is for Garden City residents only.
