The JVA Basketball team finished theseason with a 4-8 record which could easily have been 8-4. They had some impressive wins against Sewanaka, Valley Stream North, Valley Stream South and Herricks. The team was coached by Jim Cassella and the boys improved each week and lost some very close games.

The team was led in scoring and defensively by Tommy O'Brien, James Cauchi and Chris Stapleford.

Billy Janschek, Dillon Sexton and Griffin Albeck provided additional scoring and defensive support and Sean McGuiness, Billy Allen, Chris LeMonda, Ryan Gallant and RJ Larkin came on strong at the end of the season.

Overall it was an enjoyable year for the JVA team and the coach and the boys are looking forward to bigger and better years ahead for GC Basketball. You can go to Newsphoto.com for photos of GC basketball games during the year.
