Timmy Halaby takes control In preparation of the upcoming county championships, the Garden City Grapplers traveled upstate to compete with some of the better teams in the state. The results were better than expected. It is important to put the results in context. Some of the boys from the opposing teams competing in this event were on National travel teams and others placed very high in State Championships. To summarize, this was a very rigorous, competitive, tough tournament. Our boys proved they're as tough and well-trained as anyone else in this State. Special thanks to Jim Halaby who gave up his own time and stayed late to help coach the boys by himself. Here are some of the results:
