The Garden City School Board of Education will meet for regular work session and a budget work session on Monday, February 11, in the Garden City High School Library at 8:15 p.m. Instructional components of the budget will be presented. Additional budget work sessions are scheduled for Monday, March 3 (instructional components continued); Monday, March 10 (non-instructional areas and administrative and capital components); March 17 (wrap up and final adjustments and refinements, if needed), April 7 (if needed for additional review and discussion. The public hearing on the 2008-2009 school budget is scheduled for Monday, May 12. The budget vote is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20. Regular meeting dates for the 2008 academic year are Mondays, February 25 and March 17; Wednesday, April 16; and Mondays, May 19 and June 16. Work session meeting dates for the 2008 academic year are Mondays, March 10, April 7, May 12, and June 9. Meetings dates and topics are subject to change.
