Former village resident Mary Schmutz, garden manager of the John P. Humes Japanese Stroll Garden in Millbrook, NY, will be AAUW's guest speaker at the Garden City Library on Monday, February 4 at 7:30 p.m. All are most welcome to hear Ms. Schmutz discuss her work and the educational outreach of the Garden in this illustrated lecture.

Open to the public for 25 years, this not for profit garden has become for many a place for contemplation and meditation. Ms. Schmutz, with the Garden for eight years, promises to be a wonderful guide for an armchair tour. She has also promised discount tickets for all attendees.

Chris Marcin, member of the Garden City Branch of the American Association of University Women, will chair the evening.
